May 40’s Miniatures has been a long time dream come realized. Being a gamer for more than 20 years (fantasy/scifi) I wanted to do something different. Several years ago I made the switch to historical wargaming, specifically WW2 (Bolt Action (other rulesets are out there)). Starting out with late war Germans. Something was missing though, Something that wasn’t readily available. So after lots of planning and thinking and replanning, putting things on hold because real life had other thoughts, finally now May ’40 Miniatures is becoming a reality. May ’40 Miniatures is also a tribute to a great-uncle who fell on may 10th 1940 at Westervoort, defending his country, being only 20 years old himself. Furthermore, May ’40 Miniatures is my tribute to all Dutch troops and civillians that fell during World War 2.

Now, almost 2023, this still very much holds true. Lots of (life)lessons learnt, things gained and lost. We’ll keep chugging on.

Over the years we’ve added a bunch of stuff that’s compatible with our own ranges like Rubicon Models, Gamersgrass, Heki, Sarissa Precision, Great Escape Games and now the 02 Hundred gamessystem as well. Other ranges and products are lined up to join this incredible line up.

2023 will defintly be the year we can finally open the door on our physical store. It won’t be open all week but on certain days of each month. Mainly due to the other jobs 😉
